EFR - Emergency First Response

The ability to provide CPR/first aid assistance is a skill that has application in all areas of our lives. You may find yourself in a situation where you need to provide emergency care for someone within your family or a friend/buddy while scuba diving.

Emergency First Response's has a flexible approach and you will learn through the use of independent study materials, and then participate in practical hands-on training session with an experienced Emergency First Response Instructor giving you the confidence to provide care in an emergency situation.

PADI Divemaster (DM)

For those of you looking to join the leaders of the pack, look no further. The PADI Divemaster programme at Real Divers is an all encompassing apprenticeship course culminating in certification as a diving professional.

The Divemaster course is where you put into practise your current knowledge and skills - and improve them 100% through practical diving and leadership. Although PADI states that you can complete this course within 14 days we run our Divmaster course over a period of 3 months! Why? Because thats how long it will take you to become an employable Divemaster at any leading resort in the world.

Divemaster (DM) Training

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI)

The PADI OWSI Course is the core of our PADI Internship Instructor training process. The goal of the programme is to prepare you to function as an effective PADI Instructor by thoroughly familiarizing you with the PADI system and all its diver training programs. You will draw upon your current skills and knowledge while learning how to conduct classroom, pool and open water teaching sessions. While successful completion of the IDC will prepare you to easily pass the Instructor Examination, this is not the focus of the course. Our programme is specifically designed to arm you with the basic skills and knowledge you will need to begin your career as a scuba Instructor.

OWSI Prerequisites: OWSI Candidates should be certified as a PADI Assistant Instructor, have been certified as a diver for 6 months and have 60 logged dives. Prior to the start of the OWSI Course, candidates are required to have completed all 16 Knowledge Reviews in the Instructor Candidate Workbook. Course length is 4 days.

PADI EFR Instructor (EFRI)

The EFR provides PADI professionals with the ability to conduct the EFR CPR, First Aid and Care for Children courses.

Pre-Requisites: Have completed the EFR CPR, First Aid and Care for Children courses within the past 24 months. Any practicing medical professionals are not required to have completed the any of the above courses. Duration: Course duration 2-3 days.

EFR - Emergency First Response

PADI Specialty Instructor (SI)

The PADI Specialty Instructor Training program is designed to teach candidates how to both organize and conduct PADI Specialty training courses inside the PADI system of diver education, as well as emphasizing the importance of Specialty Diver training.

These different Specialty Instructor training programs are also often interlinked as a basis for the Master Scuba Diver trainer preparation program. By completing these specialty instructor-training courses with a course director, instructor candidates only require proof of 10 logged dives in each specialty area compared to 20 logged dives per specialty when doing direct application to PADI. And thanks to formal education provided by the CD during this program candidates do not require the 25 diver certifications required when applying direct to PADI. Duration: 1 Day.

PADI Specialty Instructor - DPV

PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)

The rating of PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer requires five (5) specialty instructor ratings excluding Peak Performance Buoyancy and Project Aware as they do not apply. The course is designed as a preparation program for your rating and candidates can then apply for their Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating after having completed 25 certifications.

Pre-Requisites: Be certified as a PADI specialty Instructor for five or more specialty ratings. Duration: 3 days approximately.

PADI Master Scuba Diver Instructor (MSDT)

PADI IDC Instructor (IDCI)

The PADI IDC Staff Instructor rating allows candidates to staff instructor development courses as well as teach PADI Assistant Instructor Programs. It also the first step towards Master Instructor rating and CDT Course. This rating can be gained by Master Scuba Diver Trainers that have successfully completed the IDC program with a PADI Course Director.

Pre-Requisites: Have Teaching status as a PADI Instructor for the current year.
Hold a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating. Agree to conduct all levels of diver training consistent with the standards and philosophy outlined in the PADI Instructor Manual. Agree to use the PADI System and its components in their entirety.

Duration:
- Option A is 10 Days (includes full IDC audit)
- Option B is 10 Days independent
