PADI Rescue Diver Course

Pattaya PADI Rescue Diver Course

The Eye Opener to Scuba Diving, a Seriously Fun Course

Pattaya PADI rescue diver

A Pattaya PADI Rescue Diver course in Thailand is some of the most “Serious” fun many people ever had in scuba diving. In most sports the more you play or get involved the more experienced you become and sooner or later you will probably see an accident.

As a diver and especially if you dive regularly there is a chance you will see problems occur but you don’t really know what to do about them. After an accident most people will think “I wish there was something i could have done to help or prevent the accident”.

This is where the PADI Rescue diver comes in. The PADI Rescue diver course is the eye opener to scuba diving, the first thing you learn is that if you plan your dives properly not too many problems occur if any, especially major problems.

The PADI Rescue diver course will show you how to really look after yourself and others. You learn to anticipate problems and stop them before they snowball and that starts with how you are feeling about the dive you are going to do and also with the buddies you’re diving with.

A good PADI Rescue diver will always look at these important factors before planning their individual dives: The environment, the weather, the boat they are using, personal and staff, resources, ropes, life rings, medic kit, so they can anticipate and solve most problems before they happen or if they occur they are ready for it.

Pattaya PADI rescue diverSometimes in diving you could come up against the unforeseen and there is a problem, as a PADI Rescue diver you will be able to assess and react to the problem. On the course you will learn different methods of how to help tired divers, panicked diver, unconscious divers and have sessions and scenarios on dive rescue management from start to finish.

A lot of divers over the years have asked us “when should i do the Rescue Diver course” the answer is? if you are a PADI Adventure Diver or PADI Advanced diver and you’re feeling confident with your diving and want to learn more, then you are ready. Another question is: “Am i either too old or not strong enough” On the PADI Rescue course you do have to be semi-fit but the majority of the exercises are brain verses brawn, which is fun to see because with rescues the key is to be flexible with your ideas.

Classroom

Pattaya PADI rescue diverThe PADI Rescue Diver manual is the first thing you receive from Real Divers when you sign up for your course and you should read the manual and complete the knowledge reviews at the end of every chapter.

On the first day of the course you will watch the PADI Rescue Diver DVD to reinforce what you read in the book and your PADI instructor will go over your knowledge reviews with you and any questions you have in knowledge sessions.

The last thing that you shall do is pass a final exam although after running through the knowledge in the book, watching the DVD and talking with your instructor then this should be just a formality.

Pool Training

Pattaya PADI rescue diverThe confined water sessions are taught in a bay at one of Pattaya ‘s islands we do this dive from our 12 metre speedboat to allow you to learn and master the skills in a calm environment before using them in scenarios on the open ocean on our 20 metre chartered boat.

Ocean Diving

Pattaya PADI rescue diverOnce you’ve mastered the 10 skills in the pool and the Ocean it’s time for the “serious” fun, the rescue scenarios on a dive boat.

The two scenarios will be briefed by the PADI Instructor on the way out to the Pattaya dive sites where the Rescue diver course is held.

You will learn to manage and conduct team and individual diver rescues in the open water during this phase. Whilst it can sometimes be emotionally surprising this section of diver training is one that many divers specify as the most rewarding part of their dive career.

The two scenarios are:

1. Unresponsive diver underwater: With your Rescue team you will, assign tasks and then search for a missing diver, on locating the diver and bring them to the surface.
2. Unresponsive diver underwater: giving rescue breaths to an unconscious diver on the surface and egress with the diver, giving first aid, which you learned on the Emergency First Response Course .
