The weather has been great again with smooth chilled out sea's and 15 mt vis also the wreck diving has been one of the best dives in both area's on the Hardeep we saw a huge Marble Ray James nearly swallowed his reg also Wiggs found the big grouper let's hope the Fisher men don't find him.

The guys can get a good hour drifting along the corals and sandy areas my favorite way of diving and the boat is always at the right spot to pick you up so no surface swims life is easy lol.

Well done to beautiful girls from Hong Kong who came in and did a Discover scuba dive with the lads even Neil and Pete was trying to get on that gig lol  I am sure you all had a great day out there and see you back here again. On a very sad note Nick aka The Wiggs passed away which was the saddest day in our history our hearts go out to Nick's family RIP Wiggs from all at RD.
The diving has been brilliant calm water no wind very hot great vis and plenty of Blue spotted rays to see on most dive sites.
The lads made some great dives in Samae San on the Hardeep and Shark fin rock seemed to be the best dive sites as our divers kept telling us over their beers. Just a quick notice we won't be diving Samae San for the next 2 months due to the changes in the wind direction causing some big swells but we will be back.
Neil has been looking at new boats to go on and we have a new one which is very fast and in nice condition so we have 4 boats to use that means for you divers you get to go to the best dive sites, Happy days, well that's it for this month be good be happy dive safe I see it as it happens.

April 2010,

April started in a hot way. We noticed the lack of wet suits as divers and team members decided to dive in tee shits and surf shorts the water temp is 32 c.
The problem we could see in the further is coral bleaching some of the divers have noticed that some parts of the corals are turning white not a good sign we will keep you divers updated on this.
The wreck Htms Khram has been the best dive site this month for fish life followed by Koh Rin South rock.
The divers have seen plenty of Morray eels some good size one's as well. Drift diving is back the 2nd dive had been great fun as the tide rises we are getting some fantastic fast dives,a great lazy fast way to dive.
Koh Man wichai and Kon Klung Baddon Pattaya Far islands are great for this sort of dive.
Well done to Allan for passing his Padi Open water good luck and see you next time.
Aussie Mike who started as a Discover scuba diver and went onto to his Padi Open water course , hope to see you back mate for the Padi Advanced course also Aussie Steveo who pased the Padi Rescue course well done Oz thanks for the Bundies as well mate lol.

Well April is the most fun time in Thailand as we play Song-khran which means you cover complete strangers in ice cold water and powder lol it's a great way to cool down and you get the old guard returning to the RD dive school. Kuz the Lawyler ,Billie the Kiwi and the Ape from Koh Chang we had a few new guy's as well ,Cookie ,Strech, and Norway Paul it was fun in the sun the whole of Pattaya and Jomtien was playing with the water and drinking ice cold beers with music blaring out it was maddness in a great way ,would recommend it to people who like to get wet, if you dont then it is best not to come here at that time as you will get soaked lol.

James aka Remo has had to go home for a while dont worry he will be back, he is missing the bears and snow lol, Take care mate and see you back in Fun City soon.

April is the month of song khran
June 2010,

June is always a fun month with pretty good diving most days.
Well we had our friend from Sweden Kaz who signed up for the Rescue course with JBG as her instructor the lucky man lol.Kaz did a great job passing the Padi Rescue course and her fittness was spot on few of the lads will have to slow the beers down and take up jogging to keep up with her lol.
Its great to see the ladies going on to Padi Rescue diver said Neil and Pete not enough of them do this course which is a shame as it more of a thinking person who makes a better rescue diver rather than brute force said Neil and with his knowledege of training the Rescue divers over the last 10 years who could not agree with him so come on Girls show the lads you can do this. Well Kaz then went for the padi Divemaster internship and is doing a great job good luck and see you here as a dive instructor. Also Scott from the USA was back and ready to crack on with the Padi Divemaster Internship who know's maybe Padi Instructor is next for you mate lol.
As you can see it's becoming a popular course and great fun with the Real Divers Internship if you need anymore information check the pay as you or contact Neil or Peter for information on this fun and interesting course.
Freddie from Norway who passed the Padi Openwater and the Padi Advanced course well done.
You are ready for the Padi Rescue course no problems for you mate lol see you back soon.
It was great to see Tony ,one of our first students, at Real Divers where have the 5 years gone lol.
Tony got back into the diving life with scuba review and a days diving with a few beers afterwards dont leave it so long mate lol. Solo Stan has returned to Real Divers and at the young age of 67 years old took on the Padi Rescue course and breezed through it he had so much fun he signed up for the Real Divers Divemaster Internship well done mate and it shows you its only over when you say its over we will keep you updated on Solo Stan as he completes his Padi Divemaster course who knows some of you might even dive with him.
The weather was good for most days off June we have a few rainy days as we are in the Monsoon period but as we know and now you know Pattaya is the only diving area where you can dive 365 days of the year, so if you are thinking of diving in Thailand Koh Chang is rained out Phuket is the same plus very big swells Koh Tao is so paced out on the dive site you only get the chance to see other divers and the dive brands lol so hope to see all you Real Divers back in Pattaya for some fun in the sun. See you next month for more diving updates i see it as my eye's open.

Dive safe Snoop

July 2010
As we dived into July the weather started to change as the monsoon season really kicked in.
The 1st few days where very rough with strong winds and 2 mts waves not good for diving as we like it so rather than go to the local watering holes.
The RD Team put a  Eanx class on as we dont have to get wet to pass this one.
The divers who joined up was Jbg ,Tom ,Rai and Joyce who had a lot of fun learning how to stay down and get the a decent bottom time as well as staying safe for the whole dive.
With Pete's knowledge and teaching skills it turned out to be a fun day for everyone.
We had Cool Kenny returned to do his Padi Openwater and Padi Advanced diving course well the rescue will be the next step for you and it all started with a few Padi Discover scuba dives, lol one day you will be teaching it yourself.
Well we have started the Padi Full face mask spec with Lance aka Tomo who is teaching this for Real Divers. Jbg ,Solo and Nobu San took the plunge on this course and what a different way to dive as JBG said he was singing his tunes while diving dont worrry you wont be able to hear him lol.
What Solo like was the safety of the full face mask and Nobu San who likes to take photo's like the vision on the mask. Well the diving gods must of felt some pity on the Real Divers and gave us some of the best weather this year, as the weather broke into sunshine flat sea's and that means its off to Koh Rin for the best coral dive site in Pattaya.
The team got there at 11am for the slack current and what a dive we had the vis was neary 20 mts max and so many small fish in the 10 mts depth range the divers who did a muti level dive from 25mts saw heaps of small Bamboo sharks and some very large sand Rays.
After lunch we went to South Rock and even Neil got in for this dive lol. South Rock is a great dive site corals start at 5mts to 20 mts so every one can enjoy this dive site again with the great dive planning from the Real Divers Team the condidtons where perfect for this dive.
The next day we had Mark and Jai who wanted to start their Padi Wreck spec and again the diving conditions where go go go straight out the HTMS Khram again slack tide was on the Real Divers side and down they went again we had 15mts vis and so many schools of Long Thoms and Tuna we also saw some beautiful large Batfish at the stern.
The afternoon dive was fun as the curent had picked up a little but the vis was still great to give you the max fun from this dive.
We would like to thank the group from South Africa who came out on the Padi Discover Scuba diving ,Lars who completed the Padi Openwater course.
Well divers dive safe and ill get you ready for next month ..Life is good i see it as it happens ..

August 2010,

August started in a busy and fun way with lots of friends and divers returning to their number 1 dive school.
Jungle Jim came rolling in from the Afgan with his daughter Brooke.
Jungle Jim signed up for the Real Dives Divemaster Internship should be more easy than the Chicago SWAT Team said Neil and Pete.

Chris did a great job on the Padi Openwater with JBG and Steff to help him.
Well this month was getting better when Ghost rolled in from the UK looking even whiter than before lol.
He didnt hang around on to the Padi Rescue course and EFR again Ghost got a real grip on the training and did a great job learning the different ways to prevent or deal with a rescue.
Again Neil's famous words every diver should be a rescue diver it would make diving even more safe and more fun.
Well its Night diving time and JBG ,Solo Stan ,Steffie ,Jungle Jim and Ghost went for it, the team had a look at the weather and sea currents and its was green light go go go lol. We chose the island of Koh Kwok which is a great dive site to find turtles and easy to find the boat as you go south to north how easy is that lol.
The team did a daylight dive to prepare for the night dive, this should be done before every night dive so the divers can be famillar with the sites and navagation.
Steff was a team leader and took some of the divers out first time she had done this and did a great job some of the team were lucky to find the small Bamboo sharks also smaller moray eels which is great to see day or night.
Then it was back to the RD for a few well earned beers.
The monsoon has been kicking in with plenty of rain for the farmers but the diving has still been very good in Pattaya as the rains tends to come at night time so its still sunny days out on the diving boat.
The full face mask spec is starting to get busy if you are thinking of doing this course let the brothers know so they can give you all the information and to offer you the special deal.
Well thats it for this month Dive safe to you all and lets se what Sept brings in lol .I see it as it happens ...

The diving is getting better every day we seem to have rain about 4am in the morning for 1 hour then its sunny all day the sea is falt no waves or ripples and the vis is 10 to 15 mts.
What we have noticed is how clean the island beaches are and the dive sites with no empty bottles or man made rubbish the coral bleaching has stopped as the water temp is dropping to 27c cold for us local divers but the hoilday diver its warm lol.
Samae San trips are back on. We are using the the tradtional Thai way of diving which is a very small safe boat we include lunch, drinks and transport there and back but we have no WC on the boat but their are plenty of remote islands lol.
