EFR CPR First Aid course, becoming qualified to administer first aid is something that is useful in everyday life to be able to help people as well as being a pre-requisite for any further diving education courses such as PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Divemaster, PADI Instructor Development Course and the Emergency first Response Instructor course

Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development, and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development, and realistic scenario practice.
What Will I Learn During the EFR Course?
Primary Care (CPR) prepares you to provide aid to those with life-threatening emergencies.
You’ll learn about: Scene Safety Assessment Universal Precautions, Communicable Disease Protection (including barrier use), Primary Assessment, Rescue Breathing, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Conscious and Unconscious Obstructed Airway Management, Serious Bleeding Management, Shock Management, and Spinal Injury Management.
Secondary Care (First Aid) builds upon the lessons of Primary Care and helps you assist those in need when Emergency Medical Services are either delayed or unavailable.
You’ll learn about: Injury Assessment, Illness Assessment, Bandaging, Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures.
We also have a practice AED which you will be trained how to use it properly on this course.
Knowledge Development
The EFR first aid course has a Primary and Secondary care manual that you are issued with when you sign up for an Emergency First Response Course with Real Divers.
You should read this manual and complete the two knowledge reviews in the book.
You will then watch the EFR Primary and Secondary care DVD in the classroom before your EFR Instructor runs over your knowledge reviews with you and explains further anything you got wrong or did not understand clearly.
There is then a final exam to ensure that you have understood everything.
Skill Development
The skills on the EFR course are broken into two sections. Primary care (CPR) and secondary care (first aid).
Your EFR Instructor will first demonstrate the essential skills for you then you get to practice and master them in pairs, with your instructor offering advice. Finally, you will have some accident scenarios presented to you where you should identify and respond with appropriate care.
This course can be great fun and is extremely useful knowledge to have when out in the wider world away from diving. It is open to anyone who shows an interest.

Emergency first response Instructor course you don’t need to be a diver to do either the EFR course or the EFR Instructor course.
