Description
The lure of the deep. There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. Sometimes it’s a wreck that attracts you below 18 metres/60 feet, and on wall dives it may be a giant fan or sponge. Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 metres/130 feet, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course. Pattaya has 4 great shipwrecks at 30 metres to dive on the course plus a 40 metre dive off the back of Koh Larn to test your nitrogen narcosis levels.
If you’ve earned the PADI Advanced Diver rating or higher, and you’re at least 15 years old, you can enroll in the Deep Diver course.
Academic
Your training starts by reviewing reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits. During four deep dives with your instructor, you’ll go over:
- Specialized deep diving equipment.
- Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control.
- Managing your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations.
Equipment
You’ll need a dive computer along with the rest of your basic scuba equipment. A dive light, reel, SMB and slate are also recommended. All this euipment is included in your rental equipment if you don’t own it yourself.
Getting Started
Get a PADI Deep diver manual or you can recieve one from us on the day of the course or beforehand.
Duration of course 2 days (4 dives)
Dive Trips
We run our dive/courses trips from our 12 metre speedboats: Start time 9am finish 2.30pm, The HTMS Kut and HTMS Mataphon takes us 
only 15 minutes to get to.

The best way to do this course is to combine it with the PADI Enriched air specialty which gives you longer time underwater and you collect two specialties to go to your Master Scuba diver rating.
