Bangkok, Pattaya Divers. Welcome to Real Divers, we are a British family run dive center located on Jomtien beach road 10 minutes drive from Pattaya and 15 minutes speedboat ride to the dive sites.

Over the years we have seen the problems that the Bangkok divers have had diving in Pattaya, mostly because of the early start times of the Pattaya dive centers.

We have been trying to make it easier for the local Bangkok, Pattaya Divers by changing this!. We have a 12 metre dual engine speedboat and are now starting our weekend dive trips at 9.30am and we are back after the dive activities at 3pm-ish because of less boat travel time.

 

Getting to Pattaya

Bangkok to Pattaya generally takes 1hr 30min taxi ride or 2hr 30 min by bus depending on where you are in Bangkok. Buses run every hour from Bangkok to Pattaya and taxi’s become cheaper once you know a few of our other Bangkok customers where you can share a taxi. There is also plenty of parking space close to the dive center if you would like to drive to Pattaya.

If you don’t like early starts! some of our customers come down the night before especially as there are plenty of hotels, hostels and guest houses close to the dive center. The prices start from 500B per day upwards, if you need help finding accommodation just ask us.

On weekends our speedboat leaves at 9.30am from Jomtien beach 50 metres from the dive center making it easier logistically than having to navigate the busy Bali Hai packed tourist pier in Pattaya. 

Pattaya coral and wreck dive sites

The speedboat trips are great for beginner divers like Discover scuba diving (first time divers) and open water students as we can get close to the beach in shallow water meaning no long surface swims. On the coral reef dive sites you will see angel fish, butterfly fish, puffer fish, rays and a large Hawkbill turtles also loads of smaller fish life as you explore the reef.

You do need to be an advanced diver to dive the shipwrecks as they are all deep dives. HTMS Khram, HTMS Kud and the HTMS Mataphon are all ex-US Navy vessels that were scuttled at the depths of 22m to 30m. On the wreck dives you can see schooling barracuda, rays, bat fish, sweet lips and small bamboo sharks plus scorpian fish, nudibranch and loads more. If you are not an Advanced diver the Advanced course takes only two days to complete and you get to dive the wrecks on the course. We have a price reduction on our special promotion for the Advanced course 

 

 

PADI Dive courses

We are a PADI 5 STAR IDC center which means we can teach all PADI courses from beginner levels to the highest Professional dive level  certifications. We can run all PADI courses over weekends which makes it easier for the local divers especially if you have to work in the week.

Learn to dive

Swimming Pool session 2 hours: If you are looking to do the PADI Open water course and want to see if you like diving this is the easiest way and cheapest way to find out. We charge 2,000B for a pool session per person. (we do have group discounts).

Discover scuba diving Pattaya (first time divers) Non certification course, dive under the professional guidance of dive instructors on a shallow coral reef at the Pattaya islands.

Open water course 3 days: The first PADI certifcation course, 1 day pool plus 4 coral reef dives over 2 days at the Pattaya islands.

 

Courses for certified divers

Advanced course 2 days: Extend your diving skills and learn how to set up and plan different adventure dives.

Rescue course 2 days: Learn to look after other divers and yourself.

Emergency first response course 1 day: Learn basic first aid plus CPR and the use of AED’s

Specialty courses 1 or 2 days: Take a fun specialty course on a topic in diving that interests you.

All PADI courses and can be completed over weekends, we are flexible with schedules, we do have group discounts for PADI courses.

Professional courses and Internship

PADI Divemaster course 10 to 20 days: The first Professional course, learn to look after certified divers and assist the dive Instructor on PADI courses

PADI Dive Instructor course 10 days: Learn to become a PADI dive Instructor and teach PADI courses from Open water to Divemaster and make a career in diving

PADI Dive internship 6 months: Start from the beginning and go from PADI Open water diver to PADI Dive Instructor on our 6 month fun internship.

We are putting together schedules for divers that would like to go on to be a Professional diver. We are going to be doing Divemaster courses/Internships plus Instructor development courses over weekends to make it easier for you to do the courses.
